Released: May 23, 2025 Order Berthold’s Book

Synopsis
This book is about the African path to economic prosperity and what it takes to get Africa out of Poverty. The book portrays how crisis upon crisis has anguished African economies. It explains how and why several African leaders and other scholars perceive every African problem to be the detrimental effects of the slave trade, western colonialism, imperialism, exploitation by covetous multinational corporations, inadequate flows of Aid, an unjust international economic system, and deteriorating terms of trade. The book acknowledges that colonialism and Western imperialism might have left Africa lousy. Still, it portrays how and why Africa is sunk deep into crises by systematic corruption, economic mismanagement, misguiding leadership, capital flight, declining investment, misgovernance, collapsing infrastructure, senseless civil wars, decaying institutions, political tyranny, military vandalism, and conspicuous violations of human rights.
The book has seven chapters structured to portray what is going wrong in Africa and how to fix the continent’s woes and lead African countries to economic prosperity. Indeed, the book provides a realistic solution to ending Poverty in Africa in all its forms by portraying a series of reforms that both the current leaders and the new generation should mobilise.
